Biodeg have again demonstrated ongoing commitment to building Environmental considerations into daily operations, and sees Environmental Management not just as a bolt on addition, but as a fundamental element of business success.

To this end Biodeg are tackling the issue on two parallel, complementary fronts; firstly by establishing an ISO-14001 Environmental Management System (EMS); and equally, by joining the BCDTA Responsible Care Scheme.

ISO-14001 takes a holistic approach to the Environmental implications of our operations and once implemented will ensure that we maintain our consistently high standards.

BCDTA Responsible Care Scheme: The BCDTA's Responsible Care Scheme is a pro-active initiative of the chemical industry designed to promote Safety, Health & the Environment (SHE) matters to the forefront of an organisations operations.

Driven by the firm commitment by the Responsible Care Coordinating Director, Keith Smallcombe, Biodeg is firmly committed to the programme, working towards continually improved standards of Health, Safety and Environmental Management.

The UK has improved water quality tremendously over the last decade and now have some of the cleanest waters in the European Comminuity
